Fabric design

I love textiles and warm, colourful interiors. I love to create statement designs that provide pops of interest and colour, and tie together other design elements in a room.

Have a look through my range of repeat pattern designs below and some of the projects that have resulted.

All my fabrics are bespoke, unique and can be ordered on request. Depending on the request, most can be produced and delivered within two weeks, with prices starting at £50/metre.

I’m also available for bespoke commissions and can work with your existing colour or design scheme.

Colourful designs inspired by nature.

Spain, 2023, on a working holiday helping my partner make mosaics at Los Castillejos Retreat, near Malaga. Surrounded by succulents and rubber plants, sprouting out of rocky beds and clinging to the rubbly valley walls, the drawings I did on that holiday became the raw material for these designs.

Fabric designs inspired by childhood

Do you remember Spirograph, the childhood pattern-making toy? I would spend hours on this as a child so when I bought one for my daughter, and she wasn’t so keen, guess who ended up playing with it as an adult? This time, armed with an iPad, the possibilities seemed endlessly exciting. Here are a few of the winners from the collection that resulted!

Rebellious lampshades

The lampshade you can see here was recently sold at Emily’s open studios event, and she also got an order for another one, which she’ll start working on soon (I’ll share pictures of her meticulous work in progress).

Keep an eye on both our websites as we have another collab in the works next year.

You can also check her out on Instagram.

This creation featured on the Dannells website in their blog section about how to make a double-sided lampshade.

I love Emily’s taste and attention to detail and am honoured she’s chosen my fabric to work with. I can’t wait to see what she comes up with next!

In February 2024 the work of my friend and collaborator Emily Johnson aka Lampshade Rebellion was featured on BBC Countryfile when the presenter visited her studio near Stroud.

Emily rescues pre-loved lampshades and gives them a new lease of life with bright fabrics and artfully selected trims, beautifully crafted thanks to her impeccable seamstress skills.
